Hello, I'm Amanda, and I am a BABCP accredited CBT therapist. I have lived experience of Anxiety and depression, when I too struggled through bereavement and divorce. I started my journey into mental health when I trained as a personal trainer in 2011, to help support people's mental health through exercise. I started working for the NHS in 2020 as a wellbeing coach supporting staff's mental health during covid. In 2021 I trained in NHS Talking Therapies as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner using guided self help for Anxiety and Depression. In 2024 I studied at Chester University as a High Intensity CBT therapist and gained my accredited post graduate qualification in High Intensity Therapy in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I specialise in treating Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, OCD, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic disorder and PTSD.
I am passionate about supporting people and helping them to live their best lives. I have always loved working with people, and do not feel I am at work when supporting my patients. I love my job and want to help people be the best version of themselves. I am very down to earth, and enjoy life, dancing, travelling to Ibiza, Dubai and going to festivals. I have two beautiful children aged 17 and 19 who are my world, as a single Mum they have always kept me busy. They have grown into to amazing adults with confidence and compassion and are a joy to be around, we laugh a lot.
